Twitter App Changes

July 30th, 2010

We will be implementing the new Twitter Application next week, which among the list to do includes changing from the regular login method to Oauth. This change has been set by Twitter to take effect on August 16th. Any user who does not update their information by this date will stop receiving updates on their Home Status section.

Steps to Take:

We will send out an email and post a message when the new application is launched (sometime next week). All you will need to do is visit you Applications section and click on the “Twitter App”. A new window will open on dropstr asking for you to login to Twitter to complete the Oauth process. Login to Twitter and you will be redirected back to our system with the new saved credentials.

For more information and help, we will post a tutorial on this process

A brand new login

June 27th, 2010

We have completely redone the login system, updating it to incorporate all OpenID providers. We have also included Facebook Connect into the login system. You can now use Facebook to register and login to dropstr.

We are currently in the process of deciding to add Twitter to the list of login providers.

Tuesday Updates

June 21st, 2010

This week on Tuesday we will be having an extended down time period for image caching and sessions. Although planned, this update should be no less than an hour, but we realize even as planned downtime, things can go wrong. This will not effect anyone accessing the API side of the site.

Also later on this week we will be updating the dropstr OS version. This new updated version will be more streamlined, stable, and with some new features added. Some users are experiencing issues when logging in with AOL’s openid credentials, we are currently looking into the matter.

Adding Wuala App

June 7th, 2010

We are currently adding a new cloud application to the dropstr interface, Wuala. This new app will allow you to connect to your Wuala account and share your folders and files within the dropstr network.

Activate

Visit the dropstr app store and add the Wuala app, like all other Sync applications, you will need to click and fill in the credentials, then connect it to a new or old folder in your dropstr cloud. Click the Wuala Sync enable button and you should now have your Wuala account synced with your dropstr cloud.
